Summary
Highly skilled professional photojournalist with over fifteen years experience documenting the effects of politics and public policies on society, including conflicts and natural disasters. Assignments involve raising public awareness of many of Africa’s most important issues by generating visually striking images for publication in some of the worlds most well-respected newspapers, magazines and websites, while adhering to the highest ethical and photojournalistic standards. Mr. Gangale lived from 2003 until 2008 in Rwanda , from 2008 until 2017 in Kenya and since 2017 he is based in southern Tuscany, Italy.
His photographs have been selected for worldwide exhibitions, publications and books. Over ten years experience in commercial work for luxury and boutique hotel companies in Africa and Europe, including architectural and food photography. Experience facilitating and running photography training and capacity building with NGO and large donor organizations.

Professional Assignments and Experience
October 2017 – Assignment for the European Union in the Democratic Republic of Congo to document the sanitary emergency in the south west part of the country.

September 2017 – Photographs of the Global Seed Vault in the Svalbard Island for the Norwegian Government and the Nordgen.

June 2017 – Photograph of chefs and food for the Cookbook Italy, for the Louvre Hotels Italy.

• Proof: Media for Social Justice ‘The Rescuers Project’ - Freelance photographer, 2007 – 2009
‘The Rescuers Project’ is a peace-building program that supports healing and reconciliation in post-conflict countries by recording and highlighting the stories of those who resisted.
Project focused on photographing, recording and filming the stories of the remarkable people who risked their lives to save others during the Rwandan genocide in 1994.
