Nooriya Jamal Ali from Tabda, Afmadou district, 72 years old, arrived in Dhobley in August 2011 with 6 grandchildren all depending on her. She used to live a nomadic life with her husband before. She has some 20 goats, the half of what she used to have before. She would like to put her grandchildren to school but thatÕs a dream because she canÕt afford it. Nooriya rely on some help from local community and humanitarian aid.
Some close relatives died in her home place and she decided to flee and at the moment she is not thinking of going back as the security is very poor and the front line of the Kenyan Defence Forces is few kilometer from her town.
